Westonbirt Arboretum

Westonbirt's trees bring learning to life!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we will not be able to welcome school groups to Westonbirt Arboretum during the Autumn term.

Sadly, the arboretum does not have the necessary facilities to provide separate eating areas, toilets etc. for school groups that would enable them to effectively distance from other visitors while at the arboretum. This is a very sad decision for the team here at Westonbirt, as enabling young people to learn about trees is a crucial part of Forestry England's role at the National Arboretum, and we have been working hard over the past few months exploring all other options. Ultimately though we must prioritise keeping everyone safe.

Our team are continuing to work to put together plans for when we are able to welcome school groups back to the arboretum, and in the meantime we thank you for your continued patience and understanding during this difficult time.

Though we are not currently taking bookings for the spring term 2021, if you would like to join our waiting list to be amongst the first to know when we are able restart school visits, please contact us at enquiries@learning-with-nature.org.
