Go on a scavenger hunt to find a variety of natural materials. Identify what the objects are and where they come from. Discuss the parts of plants and their importance in the lifecycle of a plant. Investigate the properties of the materials and how they are used by man. Children select natural materials to use to make a nest/shelter.
Have a go at bird watching, learn about the parts of a bird and how to identify birds. Listen to bird songs and have a go at building a nest using natural materials. Find out what birds like to eat, go on a minibeast hunt and make a bird feeder.
